Branded Stationery and Marketing for Bittersweet Apathy

A complete product range and wholesale system for a sassy, colourful stationery brand.
The Brief
Bittersweet Apathy is my own stationery brand; born from a desire to inject some much-needed personality into a market often dominated by vanilla wellness and beige aesthetics. The goal was to create a vibrant, cohesive world where bright colours meet sassy, sarcastic phrases.
The Approach
I needed to build a multidisciplinary product line including bookmarks, notepads, calendars, affirmation cards, and custom planners. Each product required a different technical approach. The journals and planners needed complex, multi-page internal layouts in InDesign. The challenge was maintaining a “funky retro” energy across every format without sacrificing the clarity of the typography or the quality of the print.
The Outcome
Bittersweet Apathy now has a distinct voice and a professional retail presence. I also created a suite of social media assets to launch the collections, ensuring the sassy brand voice translated perfectly from physical paper to digital screens.
