Hi there, I’m Dee

I turn Word docs into content people actually read

I’m a freelance graphic designer based in South London, specialising in editorial design, event branding, and marketing materials for agencies, growing businesses, and in-house teams who need reliable design support.

I’ve been freelancing since 2020, working remotely with clients across the UK, Europe, and beyond. I turn complex content into clear layouts, chaotic events into cohesive visual experiences, and last-minute requests into polished deliverables.
My story (so far)

My path to production-focused design

Before stepping into the world of freelance, I worked in-house for several years, which taught me how organisations actually operate. How to navigate approval processes, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver design that works within real-world constraints and timelines.
That experience shapes how I work now: I understand the pressure of tight deadlines, I don’t need hand-holding, and I know how to deliver work that fits into your existing systems without creating extra overhead. I have a BA in Marketing Communications, which means I understand the strategic side of design, not just the aesthetic. I know what materials need to achieve, who they need to reach, and how they fit into broader marketing goals.
I work in Adobe InDesign with proper grid systems, master pages, and paragraph styles. Everything I deliver is print-ready, professionally structured, and built to be handed off cleanly to printers or your internal team.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me at the cinema (I have a very well used cinema membership) or on my ongoing quest to find London’s best hot chocolate. Current favourite: KNOOPS in Soho, though I’m always open to recommendations!

Turns out I really enjoy the design work most people want to outsource

The projects I find most satisfying are the production-heavy projects that need structure, attention to detail, and proper technical execution. The ones that make complex information accessible: the 60-page annual report that needs complete restructuring, the event where every touchpoint has to work together, the dense brochure that actually needs to communicate something important.

That’s where I focus now. I work with agencies needing white label design support, businesses preparing for events or launches, and marketing teams who need consistent design capacity without hiring full-time.

How I work

Straightforward, reliable, and built for collaboration

I don’t make simple projects complicated. I ask clear questions upfront, deliver what I say I will, and don’t disappear when you need a quick amend.

If you’re an agency, your clients won’t know I’m involved unless you want them to. If you’re a business, you’ll get professional work without the agency markup. If you’re a marketing team, I’ll fit into your workflow without creating extra project management overhead.

I care about the work being good, but I care just as much about it being useful. A beautiful layout that misses the deadline or doesn’t export correctly isn’t actually good design.
